Rack space Hosting | |

UKS offers two types of hosting - space for single servers in a shared rack, or our dedicated racks and areas. New racks are offered with vented front and rear doors, combination locks, as single units or suites of racks.

Managed Bandwidth | |
|
IP transit services offer access to quality multi-provider bandwidth including multiple tier one and LINX routes. Billing is based upon a committed data rate with bursting to port speed as required. Burst charges are offered using the industry standard 95th percentile average method.

Tier 4 Security | |
|
We recognise that the security of your systems is crucial, including the hardware and its ability to operate. The facility has been designed with careful attention to the exterior land, controlled access ways and heavy CCTV coverage which is digitally recorded.

Access Control | |
|
Areas within the facility are protected by proximity cards which restrict access to only the areas required. Audit trails are logged and retained for access reports and for any future investigations.

High Power Datacenter | |
|
Power delivery to customer equipment is protected by a combination of static un-interruptible power supply (UPS) units, plus a backup diesel generator. This arrangement helps to protect against disruption to the hosting service.

Hosting Environment | |
|
Each data floor is arranged with sufficient cooling to retain a sensible hosting environment, even in the event of a partial failure of the system. The environment is carefully monitored 24 hours per day with a grid of temperature sensors deployed around the populated racking area, reporting back to the operations centre.
